Share HEART in Africa, Inc. is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
Today, one out of every four African children does not go to school; only 50% of those children who enroll in primary education complete the first four years; 22% finish the full eight-year program of primary and middle school education, and a mere 10% finish secondary school (9th – 12th grade).
Limited education, or a complete lack thereof, is directly linked to poverty in Third World countries. In order to break the cycle of poverty, Share HEART in Africa places great emphasis on the importance of education in the transformation process. Share HEART seeks to provide children with every positive opportunity that education can afford. Our goal is to educate children in order to equip and empower them to become future leaders.
Three Necessary Components
- Accessibility – to ensure quality education (Preschool – 12th Grade) is accessible to all children enrolled in Share HEART programs.
- World-class learning standards – providing the best education possible.
- Well prepared teachers – by supporting teachers through training and mentoring.
The Bigger Picture
We are currently raising funds for the building, and more importantly, we will be working to help create and facilitate a school system that provides better teaching and learning environments than those currently available. In order to achieve this, Share HEART's school project will be connected with our technical school and teacher training projects.
Throughout the project we will work closely with local partner organizations. This will allow us to work effectively and utilize specific local experience and expertise. Our aim, is to create a system in which modern facilities, teaching methods, and teacher training can be implemented to improve the education and opportunities for children.
Will You Build with Us?
We aim to raise $200,000 towards the realization of this project.
